WM-SR video logging system takes live video from a camera or a feed from the cable television. It encodes video for network streaming, and automatically uploads logging files to the media server. Using Microsoft Windows Media Video Technology, WM-SR encodes
both High/Low bit rates at the same time, and builds up video index by catching 1 frame every 3~30 seconds. The special index icons he lps users skim over a 60-minute video within just 60 seconds. Skim over video log in a short time
It won't be easy to search a specific video fragment among hundreds or thousands of video logs. To overcome this difficulty, WM-SR makes an index icon table for every video log. All the icons are captured from the video. The time interval between two icons
can be set from 3 to 30 seconds. For example, if we catch one frame every 10 seconds, than every hour we will have 360 pictures in this index table. By glancing at this index, we can easily skim over a 60 minutes video logging file within just 60 seconds. Users can double click on any of the index pictures, the video will start to play at the correspondent time. Through this way, we can make the job as simple as possible.

Solution for long-term storage of video log

If we want to preserve video logs for a long time, we must have a smart way to manage the storage. WM-SR can generate video log in a low bite rate such as 100Kb/sec, video resolution 320x240, 10 frames per seconds. In this case, a 60 minutes video log only needs 60 MB to store. We can put a 3days/72 hours video log into one 4.7 GB DVD disk. It takes only 122 DVD disks a year. So the long-term preserving becomes workable.

Wmv Rec Remote and Remote Scheduing

WM-SR can be stacked for multi-channel video logging. WmvRec software auto starts upon system boots. Without keyboard/mouse/monitor, the system still works well. This can reduce operator's heavy daily work. Using WmvRecRemote, we can easily control each unit in a multi-channel video logging system via network. We can also designate one of a WM-SR in multi-channel environment to execute video logging by schedule and to monitor its status.
